(A.k.a. vibration isolators, rubber bushings, rubber buffers, rubber damping blocks, cushions, gummitülle, gommini)
Price for all ordinary silicone grommets: 55 Sek/grommet + postage. Most transformer sets consist of 2, 3, or 4 grommets.
The power transformer is the only potential source for an audible mechanical hum in any reasonably good direct drive turntable. Some belt drives do also have transformers, but there the rumble from the motor is normally much louder than the transformer noise, making this less of a problem.
Power transformer noise comes from a mechanical vibration within its windings, always at your power line frequency: 50 or 60 Hz and its harmonics at doubles of the fundamental frequency. Some turntables have their transformers permanently connected to the power line, before the power switch. On these, the transformer will hum whether the machine is running or not.
A loud, or worse, a buzzing hum may be a worrying sign of loose windings, laminations or shields in the transformer, but most often it is due to its rubber isolators having hardened from age.
Finding the correct replacement parts is not as crititical as for motor mounts. Mostly any rubber grommets with a good enough fit will give an improvement from old hardened parts, as long as they keep the transformer out of touch from other parts of the turntable. Plain rubber grommets from your local hardware store will usually be acceptable. But using standard parts is often complicated by many turntables having their transformers mounted on very particularily shaped rubber parts, unlikely to be found on any shop shelf.
Using copies of the orginal parts cast in a silicone softer than any standard rubber will provide a better and more durable solution, with better fit, vibration damping, heat resistance, and longeivity.
We will add isolators for some of the most popular direct drives to our stock over time. If you don't find anything in the correct shape at this page you may find something usable among our motor mounts. Compare the dimensions of the parts you've got with the ones listed there. E.g. our motor mounts for the Sony ps-1350 et al. have been successfully put to use like this.
Feel free to contact us with questions, requests for the correct number of parts you need, or suggestions for new parts to add to our stock.

The dimensions in this image are based on the standard type of motor mounts. Transformer isolators tend to vary a fair bit from this basic shape.
If a potential replacement is a bit too high, the top can usually be cut down a bit with a sharp knife. (Push a pen into the hole, and cut against the side of it).
If too low, an O-ring, or even a spacer at the top of the grommet should do the trick.
If the D1 dimension of the grommet is slightly too big, add a piece of shrink tubing on the mounting screw where it meets the grommet.
The exact shape of the transformer mounts after retouching for is not critical, as long as you avoid the transformer or its wiring coming in touch with other parts of of the chassis.
(No part number in the service manual. Kenwood called all their rubber isolators "cushions").
Four grommets needed.

All parts we offer can be ordered directly by contact via e-mail: audio@collegit.se. (We do not have any proper web shop).
Most parts can also be bought through Tradera, a Swedish auction site. Unfortunately, Tradera can be pretty hostile against buyers outside EU, and not always very helpful for those inside too. We've heard some nasty stuff about requirements for copies of passports. Also, since 2024 Tradera adds a "buyer protection fee" to all non-swedish orders, which we of course do not. On the other hand, Tradera may offer cheaper shipping to some EU countries than we are able to negotiate.
We ship worldwide, and accept payment through PayPal or bank transfer. Customers in Sweden can also pay by Swish or Plusgiro.
Shipping fees are of course dependent on the weight of the parts, and on the receiving country.
Typically, the fee for sets of motor mounts within EU, USA, Australia, and many other regions is 44 SEK for a plain letter. Within Sweden, 22 SEK.
Trackable shipping to most countries outside EU is 120 SEK. Within EU 149 SEK (Higher than outside EU due to VAT). Within Sweden, 59 SEK.
Shipping to other regions may be higher. Likewise for heavier parts, such as sets of Sonab feet or Braun dampers.
Since the parts are hand made in very small batches, we don't have the margins to offer any notable discounts for larger orders, or to resellers. The best we can do is to not increase the postage fee for orders with multiple sets of parts, and for business buyers within EU we can arrange the usual VAT deduction. If this applies to your order, please add the correct name and the VAT identification number of your business to the e-mail with your request.
Normally all parts listed are in stock. Any parts that may have been recently sold out can be made in one day or two.
